Jessops the bakers are a small family run rural craft bakery, run by the same family for four generations, since Abraham Jessop bought the existing bakery in Kirton, in 1926.

The same standards of friendly customer care, coupled with wholesome home baked products remain as they were in 1926.  Many of the recipes used today, are those adopted by Abraham during the first years of his endeavours within Jessops the bakers.

The business today comprises of three shops that offer services in Kirton, Donington and Swineshead, in South Lincolnshire.

Today our product range has multiplied substantially, and covers all manner of breads, sweet and savoury pastries, as well as confectionery. All of which are produced in house using natural ingredients, and incorporating NO added artificial enhancers, or preservatives.

We bake every working day to ensure our customers can obtain the freshest possible bread, buns, and pastries.

Of course being a true Lincolnshire bakery, we make a superbly fruity and flavoursome plum loaf, for which the recipe can be traced back to at least 1926, and was likely to have been passed down from the previous bakers on the site since 1839.
